Because this comic includes knitting needles, a ball of yarn, and an unfinished project, I figured that it would be the perfect time to brag about my projects that I’m working on!

1. Tetris pillows

Just pretend that scrap of red cloth looks good. PRETEND.

Free advertising for the Young Writers Society? Heck yeah.

Originally meant as an anniversary present to my incredibly patient husband, there… uh… is still some work to be done. The red piece that you see (yes, that’s the pillowcase) still needs to have some of the basting done, whereas the purple piece needs all the basting done so that the pillowcase is not so loose. But soon! Soon!

2. Custom curtains

This is one of the curtain pieces from the house that will someday hopefully be sold before the killer earthquake and tsunami destroys the Pacific Northwest so that life as we know is completely changed forever. Not that I am… uh… worried about it at all. Did I mention that I live 105 feet above the Puget Sound and that the tsunami map for my area is not so bad? Not that I looked this up or anything…

3. The Rug

Best. Looking. Rug. Ever.

Best. Looking. Rug. Ever.

This is the rug I started when I sprained my ankle a couple months ago and I was going stir crazy. My plan was to have a 7 foot by 5 foot area rug, so I decided, in my infinite wisdom, to start this project. With the progress that I made on it when I was immobile, I figured I could make it in half a year. Current projection is about five years…

I’ll spare you with my discourse about my unfinished novel, though you can read my quips on Twitter or be amused by the Writing Memes Facebook page that I maintain, if you want.

Suffice it to say, it looks like things are going to be a little busy…
