My 2016 was actually pretty decent, considering all things!
As far as Trump is concerned, when he kept on beating all the Republicans in March, I kind of figured that Trump would end up being the president. I mean, if he could steamroll Republican after Republican that you barely knew who seemed vaguely likable, there was no way that Hilary Clinton — a career politician who was very unpopular and perceived as hugely dishonest — was going to win the general election. Even to a guy like Donald Trump. So I sulked about Trump’s eventual presidency for a couple of weeks months and gradually decided that it was a good thing that there were limitations to executive power and checks and balances and all that cool stuff. Then, I did my best to enjoy the reality show which was the election.
AND BOY, WHAT A RIDE.
